You can create credit invoices based on orders and rates on ONEtobeONE. In this article you'll find how to create a credit invoice based on a full invoice, partial invoice, and how to create a new credit invoice from scratch.
You can find all of your outgoing invoices at Invoices -> Outgoing. Credit invoices can be created from Processed invoices.
Full credit invoicePartial credit invoiceTo create a full credit invoice, to line by line annule the invoice for a completed order go to Invoices -> Outgoing -> Processed to find the invoice you want to create the credit invoice for. This list view can be filtered and arranged to help narrow the search
You can also find invoices under the "Invoices" tab of a service order
- Open the invoice by clicking the small eye symbol on the left side of the line
- Click "Create credit invoice" on the blue action bar
- The credit invoice draft is generated and shown to you.
- Check all of the details
- Click Process on the blue action bar.
- Click Confirm on the pop-up
- The credit invoice is sent to your client. Clicking the blue link allows you to see the document.
Partial credit invoices are creation differs from full credit invoices from step 4. onwards.
First go to Invoices -> Outgoing -> Processed to find the invoice you want to create the credit invoice for. This list view can be filtered and arranged to help narrow the search
- Open the invoice by clicking the small eye symbol on the left side of the line
- Click "Create credit invoice" on the blue action bar
- The credit invoice draft is generated and shown to you
- Check all of the details

- To edit the lines click "Show" on the blue bar below the invoice details
- On the right side of the screen you can see a list of sublines. Click a blue number to edit or delete
- A pop-up opens, where you can edit values and quantities, or change units. Click confirm once you are satisfied
- To Delete the line from the credit invoice, click delete
- Click Process once you have are satisfied
- Click Confirm on the pop-up
- The credit invoice is sent to your client. Clicking the blue link allows you to see the document.
The logic of credit invoices is the reverse of standard invoices. Delete all the lines you do not want to credit.
If you need to create a credit invoice that is not based on a previously generated invoice you can do so at Invoices -> Create

- Invoice from: Choose which of your companies is the sender of the invoice
- Invoice to: Choose the partner you want to send the invoice to
- Currency, payment method and term: This field is auto-filled if your partner information is complete. You can of course edit all of these.
- Invoice date: auto-filled for today, can be changed
- Posting date: Date the invoice is posted.
The simplest credit invoice has a single line with the quantity filled in negative. You can find a default line with empty values below the billing information.

- Number: Leave as is
- Account: Choose your account that most closely matches the content of the credit invoice
- Reference client: Empty field where you can leave the client reference, this is printed on the invoice
- Description: This is printed on the invoice, leave a short description for your client's accounting
- Quantity: The number of times the price is entered on the invoice
- Unit: Generally irrelevant here
- Price: Enter the amount you want to credit as a negative number (i.e. -220)
- VAT: If the credit invoice needs a different VAT rate than the default, you can change it here.
You can also create more detailed credit invoices with multiple lines by clicking the Add line on the blue bar on the top of the page
You can separate each individual line to sublines by clicking the small blue "+ add" on the right side of the line view
¶ Process and send
Once you have the billing information and content filled, all there is left to do is to process and send the invoice.
- Click Save in the upper left corner
- Click Process
- Click Confirm on the pop-up
The credit invoice is now sent to the client and will appear on your outgoing invoices.
