Routes are used as templates when manually creating Transport orders.
Routes can contain locations, instructions, rates, requirements and much more.
You can create and manage routes in System -> Routes
You can save information on a route on the General tab. You can find descriptionns of all the fields in the dropdowns below
Basic information about the route is required
- Start location: The location of the first activity of this route. Click Add to create a new one.
- End Location: The location of the last activity.
- Code: This is your internal code if you use one, used on the Transport order form
- Transit time: Used in planning to estimate the time it takes to execute an order using this route. You can click calculate, or enter the details yourself
- Multi stop: Choose this if on this route you visit more than two locations
Defaults can reduce the need to enter details on a Transport order
- Default quantity: In kilograms.
- Default product: Sourced from the loading locations list of cargo
- Delegate to: Used to choose a partner that executes the actual transport
Next you can save details about the cleaning required on this route
- Cleaning required: If ticked, cleaning is required. Adds cleaning activities on the Transport order
- Default cleaning station: Choose from your partners, assigns the cleaning activity to a location
- Required cleaning options: You can choose multiple ECD-codes
- Required cleaning procedure: Choose from a list of industry standard procedures
And you can enter details
- Container requirements: For example, foodstuff only
- General instruction: Internal notes
You can add rates on a route on the right side of the general tab. This is a specific pricing agreement that overrides global rates
Clicking the blue [+] Add creates a new rate.
- Owner: The company who invoices this rate
- Type: What is priced, ie: fixed rate, loaded weight
- Invoice to: Rates can be established per partner on a route
- If you select a client when creating a transport order, the corresponding rate will automatically be applied to the transport order.
- If you select a charter on the transport order, the corresponding rate will automatically be applied to the transport order.
- Valid from to: Validity period
- Internal comment: Note saved on this rate
You can add instructions shown during the execution of this route on the instructions tab, by clicking new.
